How to book a tour?

If you are an Indian wanting to take up a tour of a Domestic Tour destination or you are a foreign tourist wanting to book a tour to India, we suggest that you view the Domestic Tour Packages Page on the website, which include many tours that are being taken by most of the tourists coming to India. What is the Best Time to Visit India?

It depends on which part of India you wish to visit. In case you are interested in visiting Ladakh or other parts of Himalaya then summer season (April – June) is the best time. If you want to visit Rajasthan, other parts of North India or South India then winter season (October till March) is ideal period. Even travelling during monsoon months (July – September) is also not a bad idea to visit Rajasthan and other places it presents a good tourism opportunity during this time as one can stay at Luxury or Palace hotels without spending a fortune during those months.

Do Indians speak English?

Yes, English is commonly spoken throughout India. In fact, most children, particularly in the cities, learn English first in school. It is the most important language for commercial, national, and political status. Hindi is the national language and primary tongue for 40% of Indians. However, there are 21 other official languages, including Gujarati, Tamil, Punjabi and Sanskrit.

Do i need an International certificate of vaccination?

There is no need of any vaccination except for travellers coming from Africa, South America need yellow fever vaccinations.

What if I do not like any of the tours listed on the site? Can Season Tours & Travels tailor-make a tour for me?

Yes, Season Tours & Travels can tailor make your tour as per your desires & requirements. You can advise us the cities you wish to visit. You will also have to inform us some other factors like duration, number of people traveling together and choice of hotels you prefer. As soon as we have these details from your end, we will design a tour especially for you and get back immediately. These details serve as an outline for our team to tailor make your tour.

How many months in advance should be my travel booking?

We recommend that your travel bookings should be made 6-8 months in advance, especially if you are travelling between October- March (high tourist season) and May – June, the Indian holiday season. As Travel infrastructure in India has its limitation in comparison to the high season demand therefore we highly recommend booking your tour in advance. However, in the case of late/last minute booking, we should be able to accommodate depending on hotel availability.

What is included in the Tour cost?

Our tour cost usually includes hotel accommodations with breakfast, all transfers, city tours and excursions by private air-conditioned car / van / coach depending on number of persons with as per itinerary, train fare if applicable, local English speaking or other foreign language speaking guides if available for city tours, entrances fee to monuments, our assistance on arrival and during the tour. Our cost may also include some special attractions viz elephant ride, camel safari, boat ride and all taxes. We can also include lunches & dinner, domestic flights and other services on request at supplement cost.

What if I have to make changes in the Tour for any reason?

We shall do our best to make changes as per your request and shall not charge you anything unless there is penalty charged by principal suppliers for making these changes.

How do we settle the payment? Is there an advance deposit required?

We need 50% of the total tour cost at the time of the confirmation of the tour. This is to be sure that your booking a genuine one and we can go ahead with the reservations. The rest of the due amount should be deposited at least 30 days prior to your departure.

Can I also buy an Air Ticket through Season Tours & Travels?

Yes, you can. Our services are comprehensive. We do both international and domestic ticketing in addition to our main business of Tour Package bookings and other allied services.

Can I book tickets for infants?

Yes, you can book tickets for babies under the age of two i.e 24 months. However, you need to carry a valid proof of their age while checking-in. Of course, the baby needs to be accompanied by an individual over the age of 18. Flight booking of only one infant per adult permitted. This includes both outbound and return journeys. If the infant is 24 months or above during the return journey, you need to make a separate booking using child fare.

What is an e-ticket?

An electronic ticket or e-ticket is a paperless electronic document with a unique confirmation number that replaces the hassles of a printed paper ticket. When you purchase an e-ticket, we email it to you within 30 minutes of your booking. You need to print and carry it, along with a valid photo ID, to the airline counter while checking-in.

If I purchase an E-ticket, what do I get as proof of purchase?

On buying an E-ticket, you will be sent a confirmation for the same via e-mail. Travelers can present a copy of the same at the time of check-in along with valid photo identification (such as Passport / driver’s license/PAN Card). In case, the passenger has not received confirmation mail, then he/she can get in touch with us & request for the same.

What should I know before I book an airline ticket from Season Tours & Travels?

One should know that there are certain restrictions attached that with Special low prices. Once reservation for discounted airline tickets has been made and the payment has been provided to us, your reservation CANNOT be changed, and is completely NON-REFUNDABLE, subject to fare basis & airline restrictions. Tickets are completely non-refundable and non-changeable. Any domestic schedule changes must be made 72 hours prior to the original departure time. To ensure hassle free travel, all reservations must be made in the EXACT name of the person traveling. Nicknames or alias cannot be used. Please note that NAME CHANGE IS NOT PERMITTED AT ANY COST. For International travel, the name on the reservation must be EXACTLY as it appears on the traveler’s passport. This is to ensure smooth check-in procedure at airport.

What is the maximum number of seats I can book?

A maximum of 9 seats can be booked at one time. If you need to book more than 9 tickets, you need to redo the entire process. However, the fares are dynamic, we cannot give any kind of assurance that the same fare or seats will be available in the same flight for other passengers (+9).

What are the payment options available with Season Tours & Travels?

Payment for bookings made with Season Tours & Travels can be made through your Credit / Debit card, Net Banking, Cheque or Cash. Season Tours & Travels accepts MasterCard and VISA Credit / Debit cards. All payments must be in Indian Rupees. What if I misspelled my name while booking a ticket. How do I get it changed?

Please send us a mail on info@seasontours.org to check if the airline you’ve booked with, entertains change of name requests. If the airline doesn’t allow it, you’ll have to cancel and rebook the ticket.

How do I know my ticket is booked?

We will send you an email confirming your flight ticket booking. In case the payment is captured and you haven’t received the ticket copy, kindly call or email us to confirm whether the ticket has been issued or not.

How do I get my ticket details?

We share the e-ticket details on the email address you provided during reservation.

Do I need to confirm my flight reservation before I travel?

No, you don’t. However, if you really want to, then you can contact the airline directly.

How do I confirm my seat assignments?

How do I get a boarding pass for a ticket?

Your boarding pass will be issued by the airline, when you check-in online or at the airport. Web check-in can be done before 24 to 48 hours of your departure (varies from airline to airline). To check-in online, you need to share a 6-digit airline confirmation code (PNR) that is available in your itinerary. You can also get a boarding pass from a check-in kiosk or the ticketing agent when you arrive at the airport.

What are the valid travel documents required to get boarding pass/check-in at Airport?

Please carry your e-ticket print out along with a valid Photo Identification Proof (Indian nationals). Foreigners may be required to produce PASSPORT or a copy of the RESIDENT PERMIT on request, at the time of check-in.

Do I have to show my e-ticket at the airline check-in counter?

Some airports allow you inside without a printout of your e-ticket, while others don’t. Hence, it is advised that you carry a copy of your e-ticket.

What if my e-ticket is lost?

If this happens, email us immediately and we’ll share a copy of your e-ticket instantly. You can also visit the airport counter of the concerned airline and request for an e-ticket copy which might incur some cost.

How do I cancel a flight reservation?

You can cancel the ticket from airine website using these steps: Manage Booking-> Enter your Booking ID -> Enter OTP sent on your registered mobile number-> Click on Cancel. Once you do this, your booking will be cancelled instantly. In case of web check-in, call or email us before cancelling. If you are not able to do so, then you need to either send us an email on info@seasontours.org or call +91 9108477569 to cancel your flight reservations. We permit ticket cancellation prior to your flight, but the cancellation policies differ from airline to airline.

 

If I need to cancel my flight, what’s the latest I can do this by?

You can cancel your flight no later than 24 hours before the time of departure. If it’s later than 24 hours, you need to contact the airline directly for cancellation.

How to find out the cancellation charges?

Each airline has a different cancellation policy. The charges depend on the airline, sector, class of booking and time of cancellation. To know what all applies to your case, check the fare rules mentioned on the booking page when you’re making your reservation. When do I get my refund after a cancellation?

The refund is processed within 7 working days of cancellation. However, for the amount to reflect in your bank or credit card account will depend on the time taken by your bank thereafter. For any discrepancies and delays, kindly check directly with your bank or credit card company. In case you have cancelled the booking directly with the airlines, you need to inform us with valid documentation to initiate the refund process. It is advisable to contact us within 48 hours of the cancellation request.

I still haven’t received my refund. What do I do?

We’re extremely sorry to hear that. Usually it takes 7-8 working days for the refund to process and reach your bank account. However, if you still haven’t received the refund, drop us an email at info@seasontours.org and our representatives will get back to you at the earliest.

What is an amendment?

An amendment is an alternate word for a change/rescheduling in your travel plan. You can change the date or time or both of your tickets. You can also change the sector(s) on which you’re already booked. For instance, if you’re booked on a flight from Mumbai to New Delhi, you can change your destination to Bangalore, only for some airlines. It’s because not all airlines offer this facility. Please note that airline changes are not allowed in case of amendments, but you can cancel your existing reservations and book a flight online from another airline of your choice.

How much does it cost to make an amendment?

All amendments come at a fee that varies from airline to airline. We will collect these charges from you when we make changes to your travel plans. We’ll also collect the difference in fare, if any applicable during the amendment is made. Service fee will also be applicable per booking.

How do I get my ticket/s after an amendment?

We’ll email your amended ticket/s within 60 minutes of making the change on the email address you used for the original booking.

Can I cancel my tickets after an amendment?

Yes, you can call or email us to cancel amended tickets. For more, refer to our cancellation policy

The flight I booked was cancelled by the airline. How do I get refund?

If the flight you booked got cancelled, you are entitled to a get full refund, however is subject to airline policy. Please send an email to info@seasontours.org with airline cancelled flight details. In some cases you will have to mail us a stamped copy provided by the airline.

Is the information I give on the net safe?

Any correspondence exchanged between you and Season Tours & Travels will be kept confidential and not outsourced to any third party under any circumstances. Moreover your profile (name, Email ID, address, Telephone number) will be used only to communicate with you in regards to the services you are buying or availing. At no time will this profile be misused.
